Eaton, a freelance journalist and communications consultant, has reported on refugees creating podcasts to stem gender-based violence, why work is so good for women in Iceland, and immigration policies in the Northern Mariana Islands, among other issues. Educators skeptical of states’ plans to solve staffing shortages with bureaucrats, troops

At least three states have called on public employees or National Guard troops to fill in as substitute teachers, bus drivers and other school and childcare workers in response to severe staffing shortages resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic.
